Break Bread, Break Borders conducts a 24 month "work while you train" education program. We first identify women interested in cooking through refugee resettlement agencies. Then we meet potential cooks to vet their culinary skills by sharing and tasting recipes for our global menu.
Then depending on career interest, the women are trained to acquire necessary license and certification, such as food handler permits to get prep/line cook jobs, or food managers certificates for more leadership opportunities, and fulfill their potentials to become entrepreneurs.
